*is sick*

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 10, 2009, 3:42 PM

I was perfectly fine yesterday. Perfectly, with the normal allergies. This morning I woke up before my alarm goes off and barely make it to the bathroom before I'm sick as a dog. Several times. Ugh.

My stomach has settled a little. It's still... queasy. I ate some crackers, which seem to be OK. I made Jello, so we'll see how that goes. Should be fine. I've ran a low grade temp which has been kept under control with some tylenol.

I'm really kinda mad about missing work today, we were having VIP guests. I was hoping to make a good impression and get another VIP account. I don't think throwing up on them would have made such a great impression though. Not to mention at least two coworkers who would have (kindly) kicked my butt til I went home.

Urgh. Maybe I'll feel better in the morning. I hope so.

In the meantime I'm playing around with my Bamboo tablet. I bought it several months ago and installed it on my brother's computer when my old laptop died a horrible, horrible death. But I never had time to really sit down and play with it. I've had my new laptop for a month or so now, but the CD/DVD drive went all weird and I couldn't install anything. Then I finally remembered to take it in and have it looked at, and it was fixed, and I installed the tablet... and I've played!

Anyway, I'll probably play more later. Right now my head is spinning and I'm gonna do something mindless.

Oh LOOK! KITTEHS!

I still suggest you buy him a PS3. It's easier to shop for.

My family is a family of rebels... introverted rebels. I'm an extrovert, so I'm somewhat of the family black sheep.

I know what you mean. My passion is writing.I write so much and so often... I have a million ideas. People have told me that I'm "too creative," and that my "creativity will destroy the world." I'm not sure how my creativity will destroy the world, though.

Haha... my dad's side of the family? All extroverts. And I'm beyond introverted. So I know how you feel, on the flip side. ;)

Creativity destroying the world? Hmm... I like to think of creativity improving the world. It certainly has the power to change the world, hopefully for the better. :)

Really? Your bro is is NiGHTS fan? Weird.

Sounds like he has more games than me, and that they're all well played. I can't believe he owns Panzer Dragoon- that's a rare one.

Aren't video game playing grandparents awesome? I have such fond memories of my family and video games. That's why they're so important to me.

He started playing Nights when it was first released on the Saturn. His ';prized' copy is a version that came with a 3D control pad. He is obsessed with keeping all his boxes and game manuals so he still has most of the original system boxes and game cases.

He is, and I say this with all kindness, a game freak. Everyone has their passions and gaming is one of his. I actually bought him Panzer Dragoon when it was released, and he got the second one at some point. His Saturn got A LOT of use. Still does come to think of it.

My grandfather thinks all the games are a waste of money and time. But that's him, he is old and set in his ways. My grandmother was always a bit of a rebel. She liked being different and challenging the social norm. She was just flirty and fun and sometimes a bit embarrassing. But we loved her just the way she was.
:iconrosethornzero:
Ah, then maybe he already owns Vesperia? The PS3 version is supposed to be better than the 360 version. What do I own?
I know the first game I ever palyed was MegaMan X 3 for the SNES.

Let's see... Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, Wii, PS2, PS1, PSP, DS Lite, GB, GBA, GBC, N64, GameCube...
My fave games for each system: Dig Dug, Duck Hunt (That game was awesome! I have memories of watching my grandpa play that game), Meg Man X,NiGHTS into Dreams, Sonic, Wii Sports Resort, Tales of The Abyss, Final Fantasy Vii, Final Fantasy Vii: Crisis Core, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, MegaMan Zero 3, Mario 64, and Tales of Symphonia...

As you can see, I have an impressive collection, but I like anime even more.

>< I'm such a nerd.

Erm... I think he has (at this moment, in this house) Tales of Symphonia (and DotNW), Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Phantasia. I know he's got one or two 'Tales of' games loaned out to a friend, but I'm not terribly sure what they are.

His games are pretty varied. He has the Tales of, a couple FF, StarOcean, Left4Dead, Area 51, Halo, Call of Duty, Wii Sports, several Zelda games, Smash Bros (the girls love this one), Forza, Panzeer Dragoon. Of course these are the ones that I can see out in the room right now. He's got even more packed away in boxes (cause the systems aren't currently plugged up) and even more in storage cabinets. Heh... the boy ain't right.

One of his favs is a copy of Nights into Dreams, but this is cause it was his girlfriend/fiancee's fav game. Right now he's on a kick of playing racing games and war games.

I have a very soft spot for a Saturn game that my grandmother played when we were small. She used to take a break from cleaning or cooking or whatever and turn the system on to play Cool Spot for a hour or so. It was so funny... and she was pretty good.
:iconrosethornzero:
Well, there's something your brother and I have in common. I've also played since I was about three years old. ^^ I own so many systems, but my fave is my GameCube. I have so many memories on it...

My own brother and I grew up with old systems as we couldn't afford nextgen ones until we were about ten and six. It was really fun! That's one of the reasons we're both so good now.

Heh... that makes *me* feel old. My first system was an Atari - but to be honest I think my dad bought it for himself... I was only two. When I was four-five I was given the brand spankin' new Nintendo system. I really did like Duck Hunt and Track... and have many happy memories of my mom, dad and I taking turns playing Mario.

When GameBoy debuted my brother and I each had one. My brother had become somewhat of a system collector by that time and today he owns: NES, Super NES, N64, GameCube, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, XBox360, Wii, Playstation2, GameBoy, GameBoy Advance, whatever the first Sega handheld was... a DS... he's aiming to purchase a PS3 and PSP but hasn't as of yet.

And I'm probably forgetting a chunk of the systems... as I've said before, I'm not exactly a gamer, but I do live with one. ;)
:iconrosethornzero:
My DS get alot of use. I use it so much I broke the "L" button. Now I need to get a new one. I'm thinking a DSi.
I'm also looking into purchasing Tales of VS for my PSP, just so I can play as Kratos in SOMETHING. I'm having serious Kratos deprivation.

Ah, purchasing a home. The ups and downs of it.
